STELLA – “Acamar” Hull No. 19 Built Cardnell in 1960. Wooden hull, deck and superstructure, long fin keel, tiller steering, Beta BZ482 13.5HP 1999 diesel inboard engine serviced 2016, new sails by Dolphin Sails 2014 (main and genoa), spare 2000 main and genoa, lazy jacks 2008, new standing rigging 2006, slab reefing, Lewmar winches, compass, speed, wind, echo sounder, log, VHF, 2 x 12v batteries, navigation lights, fenders, impeller, belt, cutlery, crockery, utensils, etc etc. 2 berths in 1 cabin with 5’3″ headroom, wc, sink, Beige upholstery, beautiful wooden interior.

This Stella was rebuilt to a very high standard or workmanship by local shipwright Tim Gilmore in 1990 and in 1996 she was purchased by Colin Living who performed a major refit which took 3 years. She was completely refastened below the waterline and had a self draining cockpit (made to a design by Kim Holman) fitted in 2012 (cost £3,800) Stern gland is Vetus water feed.

2012 – The mast was stripped and 8 coats of Jotum Ravolak applied and then 2 coats of Coelan to protect varnish from UV (10 years plus protection).

The current owner bought her in 2013 and has continued her to keep her up together and beautifully painted and varnished,  there are two boxes of receipts/work done etc., since 1990.

A lovely looking affordable classic from the pen of Kim Holman. The Stella is a modest but perfectly formed package.  This particular boat I would suggest having viewed her is one of the best on the market, she is simply stunning and will not disappoint.  She has been lovingly looked after and cared for. Must be viewed to appreciate this beautiful classic Stella boat.
